Our services

Family and social services.

Immigration rarely touches one person alone. Our family team works with parents, children and grandparents through reunification, hard seasons and new beginnings, and connects every family to the help Siouxland already offers.

Before your appointment

What to bring.

Bring whatever is worrying you. There is no wrong paper to bring, and no story too small to start with.

  • Any court, school or medical papers that worry you

  • A list of the people in your household and their ages

  • Your immigration documents, if you have them

If it is not safe to carry documents, come without them. We will find another way.

Questions

Questions families ask us.

What people ask us most about this service. Ask us anything else: there is no wrong question.

What if I am not safe at home right now?

If you are in danger, call 911. For confidential support at any hour, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788. When you are ready, call us at (712) 212-3242 and ask for the family team: we will make a safety plan with you and talk privately about any immigration options.

Do you share my information with anyone?

Never without your permission. Immigration, family and contact information is stored securely, seen only by the staff working on your case, and never sold or shared with enforcement agencies.

Do you work with children who arrived alone?

Yes. Our family team supports young people who came to the United States without a parent, and the relatives or sponsors caring for them, and works with our legal team on any immigration case.

I am undocumented. Is it safe to contact you?

Yes. What you tell us is confidential and protected by attorney client privilege. We do not share your information with immigration enforcement, and we will tell you honestly what options may be open to you.

Request help

You do not have to carry it alone.

Tell us what your family is facing. A case manager will call you back in your language, usually within one business day.
