How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us, on this site and in our office.
Last updated October 1, 2026
In short: we use what you share only to help you, we never sell it, and we never share it with immigration enforcement. You can ask us what we hold about you at any time.
This policy explains how Siouxland Immigration Services Inc. collects, uses and protects information, on this website and when you contact us by phone, text, email or in person. We are a nonprofit immigration law office, and we know that what families share with us can be deeply personal. We handle it with that in mind.
What we collect
Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, mailing address and preferred language.
Appointment details, such as the type of appointment you book, the time you choose and any note you add.
Information about your case that you share when you ask for help, such as your immigration history, your documents and details about your family.
Donation records, such as the amount and date of a gift and how you would like to be thanked. Card details are handled by our giving partner and are never stored on this site.
Basic, anonymous information about how this site is used, such as which pages are visited most.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your questions, arrange and confirm appointments, work on your case, send the updates you ask for, process gifts and improve our services. Information about your case is seen only by the staff, volunteers and interpreters working with you, and every one of them is bound by confidentiality.
We never sell it, and we do not share it with immigration enforcement
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, ever. We do not share it with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection or any other enforcement agency. We share information only with your permission (for example, when we file an application for you with USCIS), with service providers who help us run our office and are bound by confidentiality agreements, or when the law requires it. If we ever receive a subpoena or court order for client information, we will resist it as far as the law allows and tell you about it, unless the law forbids us to.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work. To understand which pages help people most, we use privacy conscious analytics that count visits without advertising cookies and without building a profile of you. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell data to advertisers.
Email and text messages
If you give us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about your appointment or your case, in the language you choose. We send our monthly update only to people who ask for it, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can reply STOP to any text message to stop texts. Message and data rates may apply.
Email and text messages are convenient but not completely secure. If you would rather not send a document that way, bring it to our office or ask us about other ways to share it.
How long we keep information
We keep client files for as long as professional rules and the law require, then destroy them securely. Appointment requests that never became a case are deleted within one year. Website analytics are kept only in summary form.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them online. When we help a child as part of a family's case, we work with a parent, a guardian or the adult caring for them, and we protect the child's information with the same care.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email bonyalabee@msn.com, call (712) 212-3242, or write to us at 2619 Correctionville Rd, Sioux City, IA 51106. We will answer within 30 days. Some information in legal files must be kept by law, and we will tell you if that applies.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant, we tell our clients directly.
